This list of sites was compiled by students and faculty in the Texas A&M Practical Weather Forecasting class.

Surface Maps

• NCAR RAP Real-Time Weather
  • Predefined regions of the US, or use the (slow) interactive Java tool for complete flexibility and access to the observations.
• Ocean Prediction Center Unified Surface Analysis
  • The lost art of surface analysis lives! Maps with data, isobars, and fronts for most of the Northern Hemisphere.
• Penn State e-Wall
  • US and regional maps, loops, mouseovers, max/mins, and multipanel analyses. And that's just the first row!
• Unisys Satellite Surface Map
  • One map with everything: satellite, radar, surface observations, fronts. Use "back" button for other options, uding a ten-year 12-hourly archive.
• Storm Eyes
  • Large surface data plots so you can see all the data.
• Hydrometeorological Prediction Center
  • This website displays maps with a lot of detail and data for multiple times, and the maps are easy to find.
• Intellicast
  • This site gives a good overall picture of weather conditions.
• Oceanweather Inc. Current Marine Data
  • If it's wet, they've got the rain and the obs.
