Weather Forecasting Resources

This list of sites was compiled by students and faculty in the Texas A&M Practical Weather Forecasting class.

Watches and Warnings

• Storm Prediction Center
  • Obtains most collective warnings/watches and provides various forecasting tools and products for forecasting. Storm reports archived for 9 years.
• Weather Underground - US Severe Weather Map
  • Site is clear and concise, which makes navigating easy. You can click on any county with a warning/watch and go directly to its discussion and view an image of NEXRAD Radar with interesting storm details.
• College of Du Page Text Products
  • Not as good as SPC, but lays out other potential warnings/watches for winter weather and tropical weather along with severe weather.
